This report 101 presents the results of SARS-CoV-2 contamination of wastewater at the entrance of the 13 wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) analysed during the week 42 of 2021. The WWTPs of Hespérange and Boevange were analysed only once this week.
The SARS-CoV-2 RNA flux measured in WWTPs this week show again a high national prevalence of the virus, with a SARS-CoV-2 flux between 6 and 7 x 1011 RNA copies per day per 100,000 equivalent-inhabitants. The virus RNA level was closely to that observed during the previous week, with a slightly increasing trend.
An overall similar trend is observed for most of the wastewater treatment plants analysed. The increases observed in Wiltz and Bleesbruck during the previous weeks are no longer relevant. The SARS-CoV-2 fluxes for these two WWTP seem to be rather decreasing this week
