This report 89 presents the results of SARS-CoV-2 contamination of wastewater analysed at the beginning of the week 31 of 2021. Eleven wastewater treatment plants were analysed during this first campaign of the week.
The SARS-CoV-2 RNA flux measured in wastewater treatment plants continues to show a high national prevalence of the virus, with a SARS-CoV-2 flux between 4 and 5 x 1011 RNA copies per day per 100,000 equivalent-inhabitants. In comparison to last weeks, a significant increase was observed with a SARS-CoV-2 contamination level similar to that measured at the beginning of July.
The most important increases were observed for the wastewater treatment plants of Beggen, Petange, Wiltz and Uebersyren.
