This report 54 presents the results of SARS-CoV-2 contamination of wastewater at the entrance of the 13 wastewater treatment plants during the week 09 of 2021.
The flux of SARS-CoV-2 RNA present in wastewater treatment plants during week 09 indicates a high prevalence of the virus in wastewater at the national level, similar to that of the previous weeks (06 and 07). The two analyses carried out this week seem to show a downward trend. Next week's sampling will confirm or not the observed dynamics.
At the level of the various wastewater treatment plants, a downward trend was also observed this week overall, with the exception of Merch. Geographical disparities persist, with some wastewater treatment plants (Pétange and Schifflange) being more affected than others by the SARS-CoV-2 contamination.
