This report 53 presents the results of SARS-CoV-2 contamination of wastewater at the entrance of the 13 wastewater treatment plants at the beginning of the week 09 of 2021.
The SARS-CoV-2 RNA fluxes present in wastewater treatment plants at the beginning of the week 09 indicate a high prevalence of the virus in wastewater at national level, similar to those of the both previous weeks (06 and 07).
At the level of the different wastewater treatment plants, certain geographical disparities appear. In particular, an upward trend has been observed in the treatment plants of Pétange and Bettembourg, while the RT-qPCR signal is more or less constant for the other treatment plants. The level of SARS-CoV-2 contamination in the east of the country (SIDEST wastewater treatment plants) appears to have increased slightly.
